hard day at the robot mines
The robot shelf is starting to look skimp so it is off to the assembly line again. I love to paint and craft these little guys. the only thing i find "robotic" is making the basic form. I tend to make a few at a time so when the spirit hits me I can grab one and get started. It's like stretching and priming canvas.

Robots at Wizard World Boston
Gammaraybots was present and counted for at Wizard World Boston last year. These are some pictures from the Wizard web site. We met a lot of people and sold a lot of robots. It was a great show for many people. The promoters however have decided not to bring it back this year booooo. Thanks to all of those who came and checked out my booth. Lets hope for a return to Boston next year.

Blast from the past
I was looking at some old photos the other day and came across old blue here. This is my first all metal robot sculpture. I made this a few years ago. It is made of metal mint tins and nuts and bolts. I hate it because it's sloppy and too simple and i love it because it was the starting point for the work I do now. I think that I sold this on Ebay for $10.00.

My munny won runner up!
I didn't win but I did make the top ten runner-ups. This was a lot of fun to make and enter in the contest. I only had a month to do it . I found out about the contest way late and had to work hard to finish. The new munnys are out now. I am thinking of taking a break from the robots and paint some vinyl.

Wecome to gammaraybots!
Hello all. My name is Tom Torrey and I am a sculptor from the Boston area. I have been sculpting robots and spaceships out of found objects for a number of years. I am starting this blog to bring you some of my art and share some of my thoughts with you. I will try to update this every few days or so with some up to date news and current robot events. Thanks and enjoy.
